About

Lindsay

Originally from western Canada, I now reside here in Gothenburg (Sweden) as a dual citizen with my partner and highly spirited two-year old son.

I first started my meditation practice back in 2016 when (to put it lightly...) I found myself in another very low point in life. Although externally, life may have looked ok to others - I was nearing the completion of my master's program here in Sweden, internally, I was on the brink of internal combustion.

Ecstatic and passionate about the experience and new knowledge I was gaining in my master's program and thesis project, I was also overwhelmed and quite frankly dissociated. How could I continue with this super exciting topic from my master's thesis? Where? Was I going to continue to stay in Sweden even though my roots aren't really here?

Going back to Canada didn't have much appeal for me at that time. Not that I didn't miss my family, relatives, friends and even some aspects of Canadian culture. I just still felt there was more for me to discover on my path by being abroad...Looking back, I can reflect and say it was probably a desire for me to find my own authentic voice and path forward. And one might say, it was space and time I needed to figure that out...

So where does meditation come in?

Well, it was precisely during that low point nearing the end of my master's that one of the recommendations from my psychologist was to give meditation a try. And so I did.

It began with the Calm app and has since grown into me becoming a certified mindfulness and meditation teacher.

Since becoming a Mother over two years ago, I can honestly say I do not know where I would be and what kind of parent I would be without the gifts and practices I have been offered through mindfulness and meditation. This is not to overlook the necessity and value in other healing modalities, however, mindfulness and meditation have been a central piece in my healing journey. And it continues to be.

Thus, it is now my heartfelt desire and passion to be of service to you and all those seeking to find a greater sense of ease, peace and freedom within by sharing what I have learned and continue to learn through these practices. It is my sincerest intention that each and everyone of us both experiences and truly knows that underneath all our layers of protectionism, at our very core, we all are kind-hearted and compassionate Beings - worthy of love, kindness and presence for the very fact that we are here on this planet.

And this ability to know, experience and feel this is what I wish to offer to each and every one of you.

With many Blessings, now and always,

Lindsay

That's how the light gets in."
